Maritime transportation and port operations are important components of the supply chain of oil products. Big oil tankers carry crude oil to refineries and then bring refined products to many countries. Behind the helms of the ships are captains, maritime officers and crews, plus harbor pilots who bring these ships to port. This is is a sample of photos taken from the bridge of these oil tankers. The Osprey was transformed into a floating fire truck sponsored by the St Johns River Base at Echockotee, North Florida Council’s Boy Scout Camp.
We had such a blast participating in the Julington Creek annual boat parade! Thanks to our SJRK River Patrol Captains Lowell and Dee Stephens, the Kingfisher made an appearance! This weekend, look for us on Doctors Lake for the parade near Whitey’s Fish Camp!
